Who We Are

Missoula Ski Education Foundation (MSEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education of youth athletes in the sport of alpine skiing by providing dedicated ski coaching, positive role models, competitive opportunities, and creating a community that fosters a lifelong love of the sport.

Enrollment in MSEF is open to athletes 7 and older.

Group assignments within our individual programs of Griz Ski Team, Devo (Jr. Freeride/YSL) Team, Freeride Team, and Alpine Race Team are based on age and ability. We try to maintain group sizes to 6 athletes per one coach.

Training sessions start at the end of December and run through the second weekend of March. There are additional opportunities to train outside of these dates and will be based on competition/race schedules and needs.

MSEF bases our curriculum on the United States Ski and Snowboard Association Alpine Training System, the International Freeride Skier and Snowboarders Association Freeride Curriculum, and the principles of Long-Term Athlete Development.

We strive to create strong skiers and good community members in all our programs.
