The Griz Ski Team is MSEF’s introductory program for athletes ages 7-10. These skiers love to rip and have fun on the mountain and are able to rip all moderate terrain confidently.
Our program focuses on the development of all-mountain skiing with skills that can transition your child into ski racing, freeride skiing, or simply offer them a lifetime of recreational skiing enjoyment.
Our coaches incorporate “games” on snow, brush courses, directed free-skiing, and goal-oriented drills to build skills, techniques, and enjoyment.
MSEF’s experienced and dedicated Griz coaches focus on the FUNdamentals of Alpine skiing to build the confidence of each athlete and to enhance his or her ability to ski varied and challenging terrain—whether at Snowbowl or any mountain.
This program is limited to 55 athletes.

Snowbowl is a challenging mountain and due to limited hill space, we do not use the beginner slope (rope tow).
Grizzly Ski Team athletes need to be able to handle their own equipment, load and unload the lift on their own (lift operators provide assistance when asked), and have a desire to learn and have fun!
The Grizzly Ski Team is MSEF’s ski program for younger athletes, ages 7-10. These skiers love to rip and have fun on the mountain and are capable of skiing all blue runs at Snowbowl without one-on-one assistance.

Grizzly Ski Team athletes need to be able to handle their own equipment, load and unload the lift on their own (lift operators provide assistance when asked), and have a desire to learn and have fun!
A Griz Ski Team athlete should be able to start their season off able to ski any of Snwbowl blue terrain without one-on-one assistance from a coach or parent.

For those just joining our program, we will have an on-hill assessment at the beginning of the season to determine their abilities.
Programs start on Saturday, January 4th, 2025.
Programs run every Saturday from January 4th until March 1st.
Saturday programs start at 9:15 and end at 2:30.
We will have a lunch break from 11:30 until 12:15 where we ask parents are available to pick up their kids to ensure they get their lunch.

A season pass or day ticket IS NOT included in registration.
You will need to purchase your own season pass or day tickets for your athlete(s).
All Griz athletes will need:
- Skis (all mountain youth skis)
- Ski Boots
- Helmet
- Goggles
- Poles
- Snowpants
- Winter Coat
- Winter gloves
- Season Pass or day ticket
We have an optional Holiday Camp that is available to purchase in your registration.
This is a 2-day camp on December 27th and 28th that will help get your athlete ready for the season.
Cost of Holiday Camp: TBD for 2024/2025 season.
